Further to the recent refusal to grant permit for the Landfill site at Lyme Regis Golf Club in the Dorset AONB and entrance to Lyme Regis, it does not seem the applicant has been disheartend?
An application has been received by Dorset County Council to discharge planning conditions relating to the original bizarre approval by thethree Members of Dorset County Council, contrary not just to guidance from the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework) but also national and local waste policies and the clear and appropriate guidance of their own professional Officers.
Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, the notification by Dorset CC concludes:
“Please note that comments should focus on the specific issues under consideration and not seek to re-open matters regarding the principle of the development. Any observations that stray beyond the boundaries of what is under consideration at the present time will not be taken into account in the determination of the condition compliance request.”
ie….. there is no point further questioning the original decision, as they will ignore any such comments – standard practice I assume or perhaps reflects embarrassment at the original decision itself?
